Through its Green Bin It, LA OrganicsLA education and outreach campaign, Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment is helping Angelenos turn food scraps into compost, cutting methane emissions and protecting the planet for future generations. Reaching diverse communities in 15 languages, the campaign generated more than 21 million video views and 68 million digital impressions, supporting a citywide organics program that serves approximately 750,000 households and collected more than 400,000 tons of organic material for composting in Fiscal Year 2024–25.
