Measured virus concentration on button
Concentration of the H1N1 influenza virus measured on a LIBU button inoculated with 106,2 plaque-forming units (PFU) /milliliter, before (left) and after (right) button activation. The concentrations after activation are below the detection threshold, indicating that LIBU technology reduces the presence of this pathogen by a factor of more than 15,000, corresponding to an efficiency of 99.99%. The graph corresponds to the average of the six experiments carried out by the CHU de Québec-Université Laval research center.
