KEMIRA METALKAT HAS ACQUIRED RIGHTS TO ECOCAT SUBSTRATE

Kemira Metalkat Oy is a company engaged in the production of metallic catalytic converters, having at the moment production plants in Finland and Italy, and a licence manufacturing plant in India. The target groups of Metalkat’s marketing activities are the automotive industry (cars, buses, trucks), as well as manufacturers of motor bikes, chain saws, lawn mowers etc. Kemira Metalkat’s catalysts are manufactered both for gasoline and diesel cars, as well as for natural gas and other alternative fuel applications.

Kemira Metalkat has over ten years’ experience in the production of metallic catalytic converters. The production process comprises all the manufacturing phases: production of washcoat, substrate, coating and canning. In the production facilities Kemira Metalkat also have a comprehensive and well-equipped engine laboratory where both cars and motor bikes can be tested according to many different standards.

Kemira Metalkat will in the beginning of 2001 start production of the Ecocat substrates in Laukaa (Central Finland), in the premises of the present catalyst factory.
