KEMIRA: APPOINTMENT AT TIKKURILA

Mr Krigsman currently works as Director with responsibility for financial matters for Alcro-Beckers' units in Poland. Before that he held the position of Vice President, Finance, for the Alcro-Beckers Group.
Tikkurila is responsible for the paint business within the Kemira Group. With net sales estimated in excess of EUR 450 million for 2001 Tikkurila employs some 2,600 people and has production in 10 European countries.
Besides paints and coatings, Kemira will seek growth in pulp and paper chemicals and water treatment chemicals. Other priority areas are specialty fertilizers and industrial chemicals.
