The extraordinary share dividend of NOK 6 per share comes in addition to the ordinary share dividend of NOK 4 per share that was distributed on 8 October 2004. Provided that the extraordinary share dividend is approved by the extraordinary general meeting, the total dividend for 2003 will be NOK 10 per share (NOK 7 per share for 2002).
The board of Prosafe ASA considers that the distribution of an extraordinary share dividend is in line with the company's stated target; combining a competitive return to shareholders while maintaining solidity and capacity to further develop the company in accordance with the stated strategy.
The call for the extraordinary general meeting will be distributed in the near future.
