LINE HESTVIK APPOINTED HEAD OF IF P&C INSURANCE'S PRIVATE BUSINESS AREA
Line Hestvik, 36, has been appointed Head of If P&C Insurance's Private business area and member of Sampo Group's Executive Committee. Line Hestvik will replace Gunnar Rogstad as member of the board in If P&C Insurance Ltd in Sweden and If P&C Insurance Company Ltd in Finland. Hestvik has served If since the company was founded in 1999. For the past three years, Hestvik has been responsible for the products of the Private business area. Gunnar Rogstad leaves the company due to differences in strategy views. Rogstad has been in charge of If's largest business area since 2002.
Hannu Kokkonen, Managing Director of If's Finnish and Swedish subsidiaries, If P&C Insurance Company Ltd and If P&C Insurance Ltd, will retire in January 2006. Kokkonen has served Sampo Group since 1973. Kokkonen's successor as Managing Director will be announced later.
