The Belimo Group, a leading global manufacturer of electrical actuators for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, can look back on a very successful financial year in 2005. Net sales in local currencies rose by some 12 percent in Europe, 11 percent in America and 8 percent in Asia/Pacific, contributing to a total increase of 11 percent. This growth, which in Europe and America greatly exceeded growth levels on the markets serviced by Belimo, reinforces the company's market leadership.
Net sales in Swiss francs were up by 10.8 percent to approx. CHF 280 million. Following the successful introduction of an entirely new generation of actuator products in Europe, Belimo was able to raise both sales and operating earning power in the second half of the year. A disproportionate rise in net profit is expected.
Belimo expects to enjoy a similarly high level of growth in 2006. Investment in research and development is to be stepped up considerably.
