SDRL - Disclosure Of Holdings

SeaDrill Limited (`SeaDrill`) has ON 7 September 2006,purchased 205,000 shares in 
Eastern  Drilling and has after this increased its shareholdings in Eastern Drilling to 
13,455,000 shares corresponding to 40.05 % of total outstanding shares in the company.
 
SeaDrill will put forward a mandatory offer for the remaining outstanding shares in 
Eastern Drilling within the four weeks deadline.
