Mid-Sized Employers Will Learn How Their Organizations Measure Up

MANSFIELD, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 25, 2007 -- The first national survey of workers'
compensation cost control practices is seeking participants. All U.S.
employers with 500 to 5,000 employees are eligible to take an online survey
of their practices in 11 areas such as post-injury procedures,
communication, medical-cost containment, return to work, and fraud control.
Based on their answers, participants will receive a numerical score from 1
to 100 and their ranking within all companies taking the survey. The
scoring system tells companies how well they are implementing workers' comp
best practices.
Survey registration is available by emailing Survey@WorkersCompKit.com.
The 2007 Workers Compensation Best Practices Survey will be conducted until
June 30, and results will be analyzed and announced this summer. The
survey has 87 multiple-choice questions and takes about 45 minutes to
complete. Participants' responses and scores will be kept confidential.
"There's a great need for data in the workers' compensation cost-control
arena, and this survey will provide the first good systemic benchmarks,"
said Rebecca Shafer, developer of WorkersCompKit.com, the first on-line
workers' compensation scoring and consulting service.
