In the 2007 financial year, Klöckner Group posted a considerable sales and
profits upturn according to provisional figures. This success was based not
only on the rigorous implementation of the international growth strategy,
but also the positive trend in machine con-struction as well as the filling
and packaging industry.

Thus in 2007, consolidated sales rose by 27.8% to  1,115.5 million. Sales
rose consequently by more than 40% overall in the last three financial
years. Incoming orders in 2007 amounted to  1,076.1 million, up 5.9%
year-on-year.

EBT in the 2007 financial year improved to  43.9 million. EBIT in the
Klöckner Group increased to  52.4 million, EBITDA to  70.8 million.
Consolidated net income in accordance with IFRS totalled  21.9 million. It
was particularly the difference to the commercial accounting which resulted
in the parent company Klöckner-Werke AG posting a balance sheet loss of
19.4 million. For this reason, no dividend will be distributed for the
2007 financial year.

The annual financial statements of the company will be published on
Thursday, March 20, 2008, and presented in the Accounts Press Conference on
the same day.
