Vartan Vartanian appointed President, SKF Service Division

Vartan Vartanian appointed President, SKF Service Division 

Vartan Vartanian has been appointed President, SKF Service Division and will
join the Executive Committee.

He replaces Phil Knights who will take up a role as Senior Vice President,
Global Relations. Phil Knights has successfully led the Service Division since
its inception in 1998. The changes will be effective as of 2 April.

Vartan Vartanian is at present Area Director, Service Division Europe. He has
been with SKF since 1990 and held a number of executive positions in Poland,
Czech Republic and Sweden.

Vartan Vartanian is 54 years and has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Toronto. He was born in Lebanon and has a
dual, Canadian/Swedish, citizenship. He lives in Sweden and is married with
three children.

The Service Division is responsible for sales to the industrial aftermarket,
mainly via a network of around 7,000 distributor locations. In addition to the
sales of products the division supports customers with knowledge-based service
solutions to optimize plant asset efficiency. The Division's sales represent
around 33% of the Group's sales.
