ETTEPLAN OYJ INVESTOR RELEASE JULY 2, 2008, at 09:30 a.m. 1(1) ETTEPLAN OYJ TO ACQUIRE A MAJORITY STAKE IN THE SWEDISH INNOVATION TEAM Etteplan Oyj has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Swedish Innovation Team AB. This company, established in 1989, specializes in product development services. The company's customer base consists primarily of equipment manufacturers in the medical industry and other high-technology companies in the energy and telecommunications industries. Innovation Team's services focus on implementation of the customer's product idea, from the initial idea to the finished equipment ready for production, including the necessary testing and verification. The company develops products mainly for the European and US markets (CE/FDA). Innovation Team AB has offices in Halmstad, Sweden, and in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company employs 40 people. Matti Hyytiäinen, President and CEO of Etteplan, comments on the acquisition, “The acquisition of Innovation Team AB complements Etteplan's expertise in the product development of intelligent equipment in particular and extends our supply to equipment manufacturers in the medical industry. The deal is expected to strengthen Etteplan's market position, since it significantly increases our service selection in this growing special field.” With the acquisition, Etteplan buys 70% of the shares and votes from the four companies that own Innovation Team. The entire sum is being paid in cash. Managing Director Anders Rosengren, Vice Director Christian Kaestner and all of Innovation Team AB's personnel continue working for the company.
