Auto Club Continues to Offer DMV Services

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 5, 2009) - The Automobile Club of Southern California
is reminding its members that they can visit any of the Auto Club's 76
offices to conduct most DMV vehicle registration transactions as one of the
member benefits which also include travel guides, tour books, maps and trip
planning. The Auto Club's membership of more than six million Southern
California residents represents more than half the households in the
Southland.
"The Auto Club has been offering vehicle registrations since 1911 as a
convenience for its members, and our offices now also assist members with
boat and trailer registrations, vehicle title transfers, personalized
license plates, out-of-state vehicle transfers, disabled placards, and many
other services," said Pamela Shepherd, the Auto Club's vice president for
district office operations.
In addition to the Auto Club's weekday DMV and regular service hours from 9
a.m. to 5 p.m. at all offices, 42 Auto Club offices throughout Southern
California are also open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and can
process DMV transactions on Saturdays as well.
Members must use cash or check to pay for DMV services at the Auto Club
offices. The Auto Club does not provide services related to driver's
licenses, dealer sales, salvage vehicle transfers, lien sales or
repossessions.
