Show Us Your Healthy Solution for Chance to Win Apple iTouch, Seventh Generation Products
| Quelle: Seventh Generation
BURLINGTON, VT--(Marketwire - April 2, 2009) - In celebration of Earth Month, Healthy Child
Healthy World created a "Healthy Begins Here" video contest sponsored by
Seventh Generation. The contest inspires people to take charge and makeover
their homes' hot spots at http://www.youtube.com/user/HealthyChild.
The average American home is a danger zone for families with at least 63
toxic chemicals within reach(1). Do you know all of these "hot spots" of
toxicity and pollution within your own home? Sponsored by Seventh
Generation, the WebMD Health eHome interactive educational platform, found
at www.webmd.com/healthyhome, helps you identify these hot spots and
provides simple solutions to protect you and your family.
Families -- especially those with young children
-- are encouraged to submit 2-3 minute videos documenting how they
identified a hot spot, evaluated the problem and provided a solution. Video
entries will be judged according to overall impression, as well as
creativity and uniqueness of voice, accuracy of content and quality of
technical execution.
Ten winners -- one grand prize followed by a first prize and 8 runners-up
-- will be selected, all receiving congratulatory attention from Seventh
Generation and Healthy Child Healthy World in their respective news
vehicles. Healthy Child Healthy World will also use the videos in on-going
parent education. WebMD will feature the winning videos in Health eHome.
The grand prize winner will receive an Apple 8G iPod Touch pre-loaded with
Seventh Generation's Label Reading Guide application in addition to a
year's supply of Seventh Generation home care and cleaning products and a copy
of the Healthy Child Healthy World book and DVD. First prize will receive a
Flip Ultra digital video camera, a Seventh Generation Living Home Starter
Kit and a copy of the Healthy Child Healthy World book and DVD. The eight
runners-up will receive a Seventh Generation Living Home Cleaning Kit.
Deadline for submission is April 18, 2009 at 11:59pm ET. Videos will be
judged by a distinguished panel of judges from WebMD and Healthy Child
Healthy World.
"We're very excited to involve families in the Health eHome initiative
through the Healthy Begins Here video contest. This is a great family
activity that is not only fun for parents and kids, but entirely
educational. Learning how your peers makeover hot spots at home makes the
idea of change and healthy living less intimidating," said Seventh
Generation's President and Chief Inspired Protagonist Jeffrey Hollender.
"At Healthy Child Healthy World, we're focused on helping families
understand health hazards in the home and easy solutions to decreasing
them. This is a wonderful opportunity to see Healthy Child's easy tips and
hot spot solutions in action," said Healthy Child Healthy World's CEO and
Executive Director Christopher Gavigan.
