Corporation (Business Identity Code 0111316-2) announces that it has been       
informed today that Barclays Capital Securities Limited's (Registered No.       
1929333) share of Marimekko Corporation's share capital and voting rights has   
fallen below 1/20, i.e. decreased to 0.00% as a result of transaction concluded 
on 14 April 2009.                                                               

According to the disclosure, Barclays Capital Securities Limited´s share of     
Marimekko Corporation´s share capital and voting rights after the transaction is
