PA Resources subsidiary achieves ISO 14001 certification

The oil and gas group PA Resources announces that its wholly-owned UK
subsidiary, PA Resources UK Limited, has achieved certification to
the international standard for environmental management, ISO
14001:2004 (E).

The certification is a demonstration that PA Resources UK Limited has
an environmental management system that meets the requirements of the
ISO 14001:2004 (E) standard. The independent accreditation bureau URS
Ltd. has during the certification process undertaken a thorough audit
of the company's environmental management system as applied to both
office-based activities and exploration and appraisal operations on
its oil and gas licences. PA Resources is actively planning seismic
acquisition and drilling projects offshore the United Kingdom as well
as in the Netherlands, Denmark and Greenland over the next several
years.

PA Resources regards the ISO 14001 certification as an important step
in developing its capability with respect to health, safety and
environment (HSE) management, to achieve continual improvements and
to protect the environment, its assets, employees, subcontractors and
the communities around its operations.

Ulrik Jansson, President and CEO at PA Resources AB commented "This
is an important step in the development of our UK subsidiary which
manages PA Resources' activities in the UK, Netherlands, Denmark and
Greenland. This is a way of progressively building our capability and
systems in the area of health, safety and environment. The
certification also reinforces our 'licence to operate' oil and gas
licences in these countries".
