The Board of Managing Directors of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg prepared
the annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (Commercial Code)
for Landesbank Baden-Württemberg for the business year 2009 on 25 March
2010.

Owing to the negative profit for the year in accordance with HGB, the
silent partners' contributions and the profit participation certificates,
issued by LBBW and its predecessor institutions, will not be serviced.
Moreover, these capital instruments will participate in the net loss for
the year. This loss participation leads to a reduction of the repayment
claims arising from the profit participation certificates and the silent
partners' contributions in the amount of approx. 11.3 per cent.
