SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Aug. 24, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Raven Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq:RAVN) announced that Mark L. West will become Chief Technology Officer of the company effective October 1, 2010. Lon E. Stroschein will succeed Mr. West as Division Vice President and General Manager – Aerostar Division.

Mr. West joined Raven Industries in 1982 and has been the President of Aerostar International since 1986. He has successfully led the efforts to transform Aerostar into a technology driven organization, integrating new materials, manufacturing techniques and electronic control packages into platforms for rapid-deployment surveillance and communications.
Mr. Stroschein joined Raven in 2008 as the International Sales Manager of the Applied Technology Division. He has been Aerostar's Business Development Director since April 2010.
