SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - November 4, 2010) - The growing ecosystem around both Sauce Labs and Atlassian got a boost today with the availability of Bamboo Sauce directly from Atlassian's Bamboo CI server. The new plug-in, announced at AtlasCamp on 10/12, makes Sauce Labs' cloud-based functional Selenium testing service, Sauce OnDemand, instantly available from within Atlassian's control panel to over 20,000 users.
Created by Systems Bliss, Bamboo Sauce makes cross browser testing with Selenium quicker and easier to utilize -- and by running tests on browsers in the cloud, wait time can be reduced by 90%, while slashing QA and infrastructure costs. Bamboo is an easy-to-use continuous integration server that supports distributed builds and multiple extensions, including those for Selenium.
The latest in a number of third-party tools that have emerged around Sauce OnDemand, Bamboo Sauce will now allow Bamboo users to test their builds across multiple browsers in parallel, with no need to setup and maintain a testing infrastructure. Bamboo users of Sauce OnDemand enjoy access to exciting open source features beyond those supported by the Selenium project. These include Sauce TV which provides real-time visibility into tests running on Sauce OnDemand cloud resources, support of automated Flex and Flash testing, and file upload testing support for all major versions of Internet Explorer.
Tests make up the heartbeat of continuous development. With developers pushing more and more code to production several times a day, agile tools like Bamboo Sauce are leading the ongoing effort to destroy friction in the development process.
Over three million tests have been served already on Sauce OnDemand with a growing list of top tier customers and partners.
Bamboo Sauce is immediately available under an Apache 2 license.
Sauce Labs and Atlassian will host a webcast on using Bamboo Sauce on November 11 at 11am PT. Register today.
