QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 1, 2011) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada wants to inform the North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to pollution, in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish area:

From ''Snail'' rock to the Rochers du Saguenay.

From a point located west of Baie des Ilets Jérémie to Pointe à Michel's nagivation light.

From the Pointe Rocheuse's lighthouse to a point west of Rivière Laval's fairway.
