As earlier communicated, NASDAQ OMX has successfully introduced Native FIX connectivity for order entry and associated drop copies.
NASDAQ OMX has now decided to launch the remaining part of the Native FIX migration, the transition of Trade reporting and associated drop copies from legacy GPC-FIX to Native FIX. After completing this second phase, NASDAQ OMX offers complete Native FIX connectivity directly to the core INET Nordic trading system.
There will be some minor protocol changes between the current GPC-FIX and the Native FIX for Trade reporting. Those changes are clearly outlined in the
“NASDAQ OMX Nordic Native FIX Trade Reporting Main Changes” document. An updated version of the Native FIX for Trade reporting protocol specification is also available on our member extranet together with an updated version of the Native FIX Transition service description and guideline. The Port Request form has been updated as well to include Native FIX Trade Reporting.
Update to the Transition time schedule
The Native FIX for Trade reporting will be available in INET OTF from February 1st 2012 and in Production from March 1st 2012. Native FIX migration is to be completed by June 30th 2012. Legacy GPC-FIX will be discontinued from July 2012.
