In February Icelandair increased its capacity by 11%, as compared to February last year. The increase in passenger numbers for the same period was 18%, and the number of passengers totalled nearly 94 thousand. The load factor was 75%, up by 4.2 percentage points from February last year, when the load factor was 70.8%. The number of Air Iceland passengers increased by 7%, as compared to February last year and totalled approximately 27 thousand. The load factor was 71.1%, decreasing by 0.4 percentage points between years. Sold block hours in the capacity sector increased by 3% in February. Freight increased by 25% year-on-year. The number of available room nights at Icelandair Hotels was up by 16% from last year. The room utilization was 69.8%, 15.5 percentage points higher than in February last year.
