Working Families of Southeast Michigan to Rally in Support of John Conyers


DETROIT, May 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Working families of Southeast Michigan are planning a rally to support John Conyers' campaign for re-election to Congress. Hundreds of workers and their families are expected to attend the rally on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 5pm to 8pm at the Teamsters Hall on 2700 Trumbull Ave. in Detroit.

John Conyers has labored tirelessly on behalf of Michigan working families for 45 years. He has ensured throughout his Congressional tenure that workers receive fair wages, enjoy a safe working environment, and are able to support and educate their families.

John Conyers supports the little guy and working people and makes sure that Washington does not ignore them. He will maintain his never-ending effort to ensure that working families continue to receive good wages and fair pensions, as well as protect the collective bargaining system. These important facets of union workers are the backbone of the middle class in America.
