Solvay joins the CAC 40


We are pleased to inform you about NYSE Euronext's announcement of the the Expert Indices Committee* decision to have Solvay joining the CAC 40 as from September 24th, 2012. A year after the acquisition of Rhodia, this evolution represents an important milestone. 

The Paris listing and its inclusion in the CAC 40 reflect the Group's economic weight and its long history in France, as well as its growth perspectives. Solvay has established its first French factory in Dombasle (Lorraine) in 1873. With 15 production plants and six R&D centers, Solvay employs more than 7,000 people in France. 

Solvay remains listed in Brussels and is part of the BEL20 index.
