November 16, 2012 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), a leading international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company, announced today that Gerard Spans has been appointed to the position of Chief Information Officer of ARCADIS effective January 1, 2013. His main focus will be to implement the Information Technology (IT) strategy for ARCADIS, aimed at improving the contribution of IT to the business, while at the same time making IT more cost efficient.
Gerard Spans (46) is currently Group Director and CIO at Rexam Plc., based in London. Prior to Rexam he worked as CIO of Philips Lighting, and Sara Lee International, and as management consultant for Accenture Consulting.
