ICA continues to develop its logistics structure

ICA Sweden is taking another step in its development of a more modern and
efficient logistics network. The warehouse in Helsingborg is being expanded,
while the warehouse in Arlöv will be closed. The warehouse in Kungälv will serve
as a central warehouse for fresh foods and non-foods. The changes will be
implemented beginning in spring 2015 and the new ware house in Helsingborg is
scheduled to open in Q3, 2015.

The changes are being made to meet future demand for handling of fresh foods,
which is increasing at ICA. This also means that ICA's need for outside
warehousing services will be reduced as it utilizes its own logistics structure
more efficiently.

"The changes we are now making are totally in line with ICA's long-term
infrastructure plan," says Anders Svensson, CEO of ICA Sweden. "We have to
further modernize our logistics operations and improve efficiencies in order to
remain successful in the future."

ICA Sweden is investing in Helsingborg, where its warehouse will be expanded to
a property ICA previously purchased. Around 300 new jobs will be created in
Helsingborg. The fresh foods warehouse in Arlöv will be shut down completely
after the summer of 2015, affecting 130 logistics positions. All warehouse
employees and as many logistics workers as possible will be offered jobs in
Helsingborg instead. ICA will also terminate a number of cooperations with
outside suppliers.

"We fully understand that this concerns many employees. At the same time we are
investing long-term in Helsingborg, so it is very positive to be able to make
this announcement," says Anders Svensson.

As an element in the development of the logistics structure, ICA Real Estate is
acquiring the warehouse property Kolven 2 in Helsingborg together with a partner
through a joint venture. The seller is Tribona AB. The property value agreed to
is SEK 931 million. The closing is expected around 15 August 2013.

Kungälv's current stock will be moved to Helsingborg and going forward it will
instead serve as a central warehouse for fresh foods and non-foods, mainly media
and clothing.
