ScandiDos new product Delta4 Discover, has received its first Purchase Order from end-customer in Japan. Delta4 Discover measures the radiation dose to the patient during cancer treatment and is complementary to the current product ScandiDos Delta4 Phantom, in daily use at almost 500 clinics worldwide for pre-treatment verification. Since more than 10 years, clinics using the latest achievements in radiation therapy e.g. IMRT and VMAT have lacked the ability to verify with direct measurements that the dose to the patient is administrated correctly. ScandiDos’ new product Delta4 Discover (formerly Delta4AT), now uniquely addresses this need for accurate, fast and easy verification of the modern and advanced radiation therapy. One of the markets where accuracy and efficiency is highly appreciated is Japan, which has the highest expected-lifetime and a fast growing cancer incidence. For this reason Japan is one of ScandiDos strongest markets and it is natural that the first demo system was earlier ordered by ScandiDos distributor EMT, Euro Meditech co, in Japan. Now Ehime University becomes the first clinic to invest in patient dose verification from ScandiDos by ordering Delta4Discover.
