CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tesora announces an update of its database as a service (DBaaS) platform that adds expanded replication capabilities in MySQL including failover, making it the first OpenStack Trove-based product to support high availability.
In addition, Tesora has extended database support to include MariaDB 5.5 and 10.0 along with PostgreSQL 9.3. Also, the recently announced support for Oracle 12c is generally available.
"We're delivering on the highest priority requirements with failover for MySQL and the addition of MariaDB and PostgreSQL to the seven other database products that we already support in our OpenStack Trove implementation," said Ken Rugg, CEO of Tesora. "Just last month, we announced support for Oracle giving enterprises lots of database options to deploy in their private cloud."
Another feature added in Tesora Enterprise Edition 1.3 is dashboard support for configuration groups, which gives administrators greater flexibility and helps increase their productivity.
This enterprise-hardened implementation of the OpenStack Trove DBaaS is based on the most current OpenStack code base.
Organizations deploying the Tesora DBaaS Platform Enterprise Edition can be confident in the performance and reliability of their database as a service project. Highlights of Tesora's Enterprise Edition include:
