Rob van Vliet has decided to retire from ASML effective January 31st 2016. Rob has played several key roles at ASML during his 20 years of combined time with us. For the last 15 years he has worked as a critical part of ASML's European Investor Relations team with outstanding success. Rob and ASML's European Investor Relations team's tireless efforts and service have been recognized by the investment community as evidenced by them being "Best European IR" Award winners for several years. Rob's efforts have also enabled ASML to be recognized as one of the top 50 IR teams worldwide in a 2015 Institutional Investor Magazine survey. Rob now plans to devote his time to his family and to interests outside of ASML.

Sam van der Zalm will be joining the ASML Investor Relations team. Sam will start his transition to the role of European Manager Investor Relations immediately, moving from his current position as HQ Account Manager Japan. Sam comes to the IR team with 15 years of ASML experience having had roles in Logistics, Operations and HQ Account Management. Sam has his Bachelor Degree in Technical Business Administration. He is married with 3 young children. His native language is Dutch with fluency in English.
