IT – Nasdaq Nordic Primary Data Center Relocation Project Update (10/16)

This IT Notice includes instructions for mandatory activities for ALL customers and service providers with connectivity to Nasdaq Nordic and Nasdaq Baltic.

This data center relocation requires that all customers make necessary arrangements in order to establish connectivity to the new VASBY data center. If not yet done, please contact your connectivity provider as soon as possible to make sure you have connectivity to the VASBY data center in advance of the mandatory tests described further down in this notice.

We have just published a new monthly
newsletter with general information about the Data Center relocation project.

Connectivity to VASBY Data Center

Nasdaq Extranet providers are currently setting up their equipment in the VASBY facility. Approximately 10 different providers have already installed their equipment in the new data center. The first connectivity provider is connected to our Extranet and we estimate that two major providers will be ready by the end of this week.

The remaining Extranet providers at VASBY will finalize their configuration during March to allow the first connectivity tests for members in the end of March according to plan.

Please contact your connectivity provider for more information.

INET

INET (Cash Equity) at VASBY Data Center will receive production status on June 6th as a secondary failover site to the current INET LUNDA and PORT production systems. It will be promoted as the primary production site as of June 20th.
Between June 6th and June 19th customers can migrate their primary connections to VASBYs new INET destination IP addresses at their own pace. All IP addresses and ports at the failover site PORT will remain as is. The INET system in VASBY is built on new hardware- and network infrastructure and has been assigned new destination IP addresses. TCP port numbers will remain as today, only ITCH UDP Multicast has been assigned new ports.

Customers need to take necessary actions due to the changes of destination IP addresses and UDP ports. The new destination IPs and ports can be found in the Connectivity Guideline for INET Pre-Production. http://www.nasdaqomx.com/transactions/technicalinformation/data-center-relocation

Customers have now received their individual pre-production ports/accounts details. If you haven’t received your new pre-production port details, please contact Nasdaq Cash Equity Operations immediately: operator@nasdaq.com, +46 8 405 6410.
