WHAT: Press webinar (under embargo) for the release of Market Report Series: Gas 2017 report
WHEN: Tuesday, 11 July 2017, 3:00 PM Paris time
WHO: Keisuke Sadamori, Director of Energy Markets and Security
The IEA's Gas 2017 market report (formerly known as the Natural Gas Medium-Term Market Report) provides analysis and forecast for the 2017-2022 period.
The natural gas market is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Industry has overtaken the power sector as the driving force behind the growing use of gas.
At the same time, structural changes in gas supply and trade are changing global gas market. Heavily oversupplied markets, the ongoing shale-gas revolution in the United States and the fast-growing LNG trade are disrupting traditional gas business and pricing models. This is forcing market players to redefine their strategies and explore new markets.
