Conferize A/S reports increased growth, evaluates 2017 and strengthens the board of directors

2017 has been a productive year for Conferize A/S. The Company is delivering according to the plans laid out in its IPO prospectus. Conferize has seen a significant growth in new event organizers. This indicates an increased interest in the Company's solution for the global event market. The Company is also on track to launch its new product next year and intends to strengthen its board by including lead investor and business executive Lars Kolind.

Conferize A/S was successfully listed on Nasdaq First North Copenhagen in June 2017. The total proceeds from the listing amounted to DKK 28.8 million with support from more than 1,100 shareholders. At present, Conferize has more than 1,900 shareholders in Denmark and abroad.

In 2017 the Company has seen a positive growth trend in its primary customer group, event organizers. Conferize expects to be joined by more than 4,300 event organizers by the end of 2017, a growth of more than 105 pct. compared to 2016. Conferize is now used by events in more than 140 countries worldwide, despite the fact that its current pilot product can't fully meet all customer demands.

The growth in event organizers is a vital business potential to tap into, especially with the Company's next generation product, Conferize EMS V2 ("EMS" stands for Event Management System). This new product aims to make it even easier, more intuitive and gratifying for anyone to create engaging events. The Company still expects EMS V2 to be launched in 2018, as promised in the prospectus from the IPO.

"V2 is the product we've always wanted to create, but we never had the resources to build before. We hope to revitalize the industry by providing better tools for events to be more engaging, connected and participatory", CEO Martin Ferro-Thomsen - Conferize Newsletter Q4 2017.

Conferize has already come a long way in re-modelling the legacy infrastructure of V1 and the relating network structure, which ensures the optimal foundation for developing V2 and the new product experience.

The growth of the organization is proceeding according to plan. Conferize now have 17 highly skilled team members, with more to come, and have moved to new permanent premises in central Copenhagen.

As part of the preparation for the go-to-market strategy of V2, the board of directors will be strengthened by inclusion of Lars Kolind as new board member. Mr. Kolind's first-hand experience with scaling technology-based companies internationally is considered highly valuable in the next phase of the company's development.

"It's been an ambition of mine for more than a decade to work alongside Lars Kolind.  His achievements as a business executive are undisputed, and his seminal thinking on organizational theory and practice are today considered curriculum worldwide. I'm very pleased he's now been in a position to free up the necessary time to advise the company as a member of the board in this exiting time for Conferize," says CEO Martin Ferro-Thomsen.

Conferize will call for an extraordinary general meeting to be held in January 2018 by separate announcement for the purpose of electing Lars Kolind, who will replace Sten T. Davidsen, CEO of Kolind A/S, on the board.
