Saint-Cloud, 31 October 2019 – Elis, an international multi-service provider, offering textile, hygiene and facility services solutions across Europe and Latin America, has finalized the divestment of 100% of the IHSS division of Clinical Solutions in the UK.
IHSS is one of the two divisions of Clinical Solutions, which was formerly owned by Berendsen until its acquisition by Elis in 2017. This division, based in the UK, provides decontamination and sterilization solutions for medical devices in the private and public Healthcare sector. This activity posted revenues of c.£19mn in 2018.
The division has been acquired by VAMED, a German-based international provider of tailor-made services for hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
The sale of IHSS completes the divestment of Clinical Solutions, which was split in two; the “Rocialle & Guardian” division was sold in August this year. In H1 2018, in a step to remain focused on its core business, Elis announced its intention to sell Clinical Solutions.
