GOLETA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Palomino Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB: PALX) ('Palomino' or the 'Company'), an artificial intelligence (AI) interconnect technology company, today announced that Co-founder and Director Steven P. DenBaars will present at MicroLED Connect 2026 on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:50 a.m. CEST at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
Professor DenBaars’ presentation, “Development of GaN Based MicroLED Devices for Full Color Displays and High Speed Optical Communication,” will highlight advances in gallium nitride (GaN) microLED materials, device efficiency, and integration approaches supporting next-generation display and optical communication applications. The presentation will address how improved microLED device design can support higher-speed data transmission and the potential for energy-efficient optical interconnects for AI infrastructure and data-center environments.
Jeffrey B. Shealy, Co-Founder and CEO, commented: “AI infrastructure is being constrained by power and bandwidth limits in short-reach data movement, and the next wave of optical interconnect innovation will be defined by higher efficiency and higher speed in compact form factors.” Mr. Shealy continued, “Prof. DenBaars’ presentation at MicroLED Connect 2026 highlights advances in GaN-based microLED devices that can help enable faster data transmission and more energy-efficient optical interconnects for AI and data-center environments. As Palomino advances its roadmap, we believe microLED-enabled optical interconnects represent a compelling opportunity to improve performance-per-watt across next-generation AI systems.”
MicroLED Connect 2026 is hosted at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Additional conference information is available here.
