LONDON, Oct. 23, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Saily, the travel eSIM app by the team behind NordVPN, has launched coverage maps for all the 200+ destinations it serves, alongside an in-app data usage breakdown by category.
Coverage maps show travelers the mobile signal strength across a destination before they purchase a plan so they know what to expect when they arrive. The data usage breakdown shows exactly which categories, like social media or streaming, consume the most data, helping users adjust their habits so they won’t run out mid-trip.
"With a traditional SIM card, you're stuck with one network – if it has poor coverage where you're traveling, that's your problem. Saily eSIMs can switch between several local networks, so you're far less likely to hit a dead zone. Now we're going one step further: our new coverage maps let users zoom in on their destination and see the connection quality on the ground before they travel," says Matas Cenys, head of product at Saily.
Key features:
- Coverage maps: View detailed coverage information for every destination in the app before purchase that shows areas with weaker coverage or no connection.
- Data usage breakdown by category: See exactly which categories – like social media or streaming – use the most data, without leaving the Saily app.
- Privacy by design: Saily reads only the category of traffic, never the content. Usage history can be deleted at any time.
The new features follow other recent additions to the Saily app, including a flight tracker that lets users save multiple flights and get notified whenever a flight's status changes.
The coverage maps and data usage features are available now in the Saily app. For more information, visit https://saily.com.
