Shannon Diem Will Help Direct and Increase the Web Site's Rapid Growth; Customer "Page Views" Are Expected To Be One Million In December


LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13, 1999 (PRIMEZONE) -- SalesMountain.com, an Internet site focused on helping consumers nationwide find all the Sales at both brick-and-mortar and online stores, announced today the appointment of Shannon Diem as Director of Marketing.

Mr. Diem, 29, will be responsible for creating, enhancing and implementing SalesMountain's consumer and vendor-side marketing strategies and related traffic and revenue-enhancing business development activities.

"Shannon comes to SalesMountain.com with more than six years experience in interactive media planning and development," said Lee Weinberg, SalesMountain's Managing Director of Business Development and Sales. Prior to joining SalesMountain, Mr. Diem was President of Internet Marketing Group (IMG), a venture-funded advertising and marketing agency/"dot com" incubator in South Florida whose clients include Disney, Ford, Lands' End and Carnival Cruise Lines. He also provided independent consulting services to Dell and provided ongoing strategic marketing advice to HSI, Inc. during the e-commerce retailer's start-up phase.

Before founding IMG, Mr. Diem had been an assistant media planner/buyer for SportsLine USA/SportsLine.com and a member of the company's promotions department, and an assistant marketing director for Vacation Break U.S.A., a direct marketing company. He was also director of FloralVisions.com, where he assisted the formation of strategic alliances with several national and foreign based ISP's and content aggregated portals.

To use SalesMountain.com, shoppers simply enter a ZIP Code to localize information to their preferred shopping area. They may then choose to browse either by product, service, store, or brand, or use a search function to find specific items. Coupon data is fully integrated into the Sales database allowing users to choose from search results featuring both coupon and non-coupon based Sales. Listings of local Sales events are also available. Individual Sale items are displayed with store location, brand, pricing information, disclaimers, product description, images (when available) and Sales dates.
