Norsk Hydro, the oil and energy, light metals and fertilizer company, decided today to offer its intereste on the British continental shelf for sale. Hydro’s portfolio includes interests in the three producing fields - Britannia, Alba and Gryphon - and several exploration licences. These assets were originally owned by Saga Petroleum, the Norwegian company acquired by Hydro in 1999.
Hydro has ambitious goals for the international oil and gas activities, and the company is targeting activity in four to five core areas with the emphasis on areas that have growth potential.
