(OTCBB:ELTP) today unveiled its newly-formed subsidiary, Micro Imaging Technology, and announced the exciting results of its two-year research program that has culminated in the successful development of an instantaneous process to detect and identify fluid-borne microbes. This technological breakthrough has proven to accurately identify microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium parvum, Giardia lamblia, E.coli, Salmonella typhi and Listeria monocytogenes, all potentially deadly microorganisms, at a rate significantly faster than current clinical methods. Saving time in identifying these health hazards will translate into saving human lives.

Electropure's new technology, developed by the Micro Imaging Technology subsidiary, applies to all health-related industries where it can have an enormous impact on rapid diagnosis and treatment of the thousands of people stricken by contaminated food and water each year.
