Unity Wireless Hires New Director of Operations and In-house Counsel


BELLEVUE, Wash., March 22, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unity Wireless (a dba of Sonic Systems Corporation of Delaware) (NQB:ZSON) is pleased to announce the appointments of Urszula Szkopek and Michael Stunden to the positions of Director of Operations and In-house Counsel, respectively.

Ms. Szkopek joined Unity Wireless March 20 as director of operations and is responsible for managing the production, testing and quality control systems for the Company's wireless communications technologies. Prior to joining Unity Wireless, Ms. Szkopek held the position of Production Manager at Glenayre Manufacturing where she managed a production staff of 120 and oversaw scheduling, manufacturing and testing of Glenayre's Radio Frequency Base Stations and Voice Messaging Systems products. Ms. Szkopek has nearly 20 years experience in the communications and technology industries. "I'm pleased to be joining the Unity Wireless team at such an exciting time in the Company's growth," said Szkopek. "My experience will be put to good use as Unity enters its high growth period."

Mr. Stunden will join Unity Wireless effective April 10 as in-house counsel and will be primarily responsible for the various corporate, securities and intellectual property affairs of the Company. Mr. Stunden is a member of the bar in both British Columbia and Alberta and practices in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property law. He has held positions in several Calgary and Vancouver law firms and has also served as in-house counsel for the wireless data division of Motorola. When asked about his new position, Mr. Stunden replied, "I'm delighted to be joining a growing high tech company in such an exciting field as wireless data technologies. My experience managing IP (intellectual property) assets and contract negotiations fits well with Unity's growth strategy."
