Unity Wireless Integration Appoints Executives and Advisors


BELLEVUE, Wash. and SINGAPORE, May 18, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unity Wireless (a dba of Sonic Systems Corporation of Delaware) (OTCBB:ZSON) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Unity Wireless Integration Corporation has appointed board members and key executives to facilitate growth of the company's operations in Asia.

Joining Unity Wireless Integration in Singapore are Mssrs. Cheng C. Gan, Kim Shin Wong and Boon Peng Lee. Appointed to the board of directors is Ms. Franca Ciambella, and Mr. Ian Robertson has joined the business advisory board.

Mr. Gan, Unity Wireless Integration's Vice President - Operations, has over 10 years experience with system integration and software development. Before joining Unity Wireless Integration in 1999, Mr. Gan served as Asian Regional Manager for Dynapro Systems and Project Manager at Sanderson Computers, one of Europe and Asia's largest suppliers and integrators of computer systems and networks. He gained experience in wireless data communication systems and managing multi-million dollar projects by managing the implementation of wireless dispatch and tracking systems for customers including Port Singapore Authority and Modern Terminals Limited of Hong Kong. Mr. Gan holds a B.Sc. from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Mr. Wong has been appointed as Unity Wireless Integration's Secretary and has over 20 years experience in administrative, finance and accounting disciplines, principally with property development and information technology companies. While employed with Sanderson Computers as Regional Finance and Administration Manager, Mr. Wong was responsible for all financial and administrative affairs of the company's Asian operations. He holds a chartered accountant designation in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the UK.

Mr. Lee is an experienced information technology system engineer and has joined the company as Principal Engineer. Most recently, Mr. Lee was a Senior Systems Engineer at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, where he was a team member responsible for managing the University's network system including 50 servers and over 500 workstations. For nearly 10 years, he has been consulting to companies including Reuters Singapore and Dynapro in the areas of hardware and software systems and support. Mr. Lee holds a B.Sc. (Computer Science) from the National University of Singapore.

Appointed to Unity Wireless Integration's board of directors, Ms. Franca Ciambella is a resident partner of international law firm Stikeman Elliot where she specializes in mergers, acquisitions, joint-ventures, foreign direct investment and corporate and commercial law. Ms. Ciambella has worked in Singapore since 1991 and is often a guest speaker at conferences and seminars worldwide discussing business and investment practices in Asia. She has co-authored two publications - "Investment in Southeast Asia: Policy and Laws", "Investors Guide to Singapore 1998" and over forty articles on foreign direct investment for periodicals and business magazines. Ms. Ciambella also serves as vice-president of the Canada Singapore Business Association. She holds law degrees from the University of Ottawa, McGill University and a diploma in European Community Law from Universite Aix in Marseille, France.

Mr. Ian Robertson, whose career has combined business and government experience focused in international development, trade, technology transfer and marketing joins Unity Wireless Integration's business advisory board. He has managed Canadian development and trade programs in Asia, served on the Board of the Asian Development Bank in Manila, and represented Canada at numerous international conferences. Mr. Robertson was also served as founding Executive Director of the Canada-ASEAN Centre in Singapore, which promotes Canadian technologies in Southeast Asia. Mr. Robertson holds an MBA (Finance and International Business) from Harvard Business School.
