Snorre and Vigdis back in production

Production on the Snorre field resumed Thursday morning, while oil production at Vigdis is to resume this afternoon. Oil production on the two fields was stopped Tuesday afternoon in connection with a mishap on the Bideford Dolphin drilling rig, which is working at Vigdis.

Vigdis is an subsea field about 6 kilometers from the Snorre field and about 210 kilometers northwest of Bergen. Snorre and Vigdis produce around 290,000 barrels per day. It is expected that the field will be back to normal production levels during the Saturday.
