Iomega and Sensory Science Announce First Clik!(TM)- Enabled MP3 Player To Ship In July

RaveMP 2300 With Clik!(TM) Technology Drives Down the Cost of Memory And Storage For Consumers

NEW YORK,June 27, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced that the first Clik!(TM)-based portable digital media player from Sensory Science Corporation (AMEX:VCR) will begin shipping next month. The RaveMP 2300 digital media player with a built-in Clik! drive gives music enthusiasts virtually unlimited, affordable access to their music libraries.

"The RaveMP 2300 digital media player brings the power of Clik! technology's low-cost, high-capacity storage solutions to the digital audio movement," said Bruce Albertson, president and CEO, Iomega Corporation. "Digital audio players with a Clik! drive built-in offer a simple solution to assemble custom music libraries from the Internet or personal CDs, and make it possible and affordable to take those personal music collections anywhere. And at about $10 each, Clik! disks are inexpensive enough to give to a friend."

The inclusion of the Clik!(TM) drive in Sensory Science's newest portable digital media player provides consumers with enhanced capabilities and functions not found in competing flash memory-based players, including unlimited memory expansion at a significantly reduced cost. Competing flash memory expansion cards cost consumers approximately $100 (U.S.) for one 32MB card, while RaveMP 2300 users can purchase Clik! disks for an estimated street price of $9.99 (U.S.) each, when purchased in a 10-pack. With the RaveMP 2300 and a few tiny Clik! disks, changing music is as simple as inserting a new disk.

"We're excited to be working closely with Sensory Science to provide consumers with a more versatile and far more affordable method of recording, storing and playing back digital music," said Mark Lucas, executive vice president, global marketing and product management, Iomega Corporation. "The affordability of Clik! disks versus competing memory formats presents compelling opportunities for users to significantly expand their Internet music collections. Storing computer files and other data has never been easier."

In addition to playing back digitally recorded music, the RaveMP 2300 records voice messages and allows users to download MS Outlook names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses directly to Clik! disks. The RaveMP 2300 features nearly 10 hours of continuous play with a single charge of the rechargeable lithium ion battery and incorporates skip-free sound with a built-in memory buffer, which is superior to current CD or Mini-Disc players.

"Our new RaveMP 2300 breaks the mold in the current MP3 player market and establishes a new standard with convenient, affordable, removable storage disks," said Roger Hackett, Sensory Science's chairman and CEO. "The RaveMP 2300 is the first portable MP3 player to incorporate Clik! disk technology to provide consumers with unlimited expandability at a low cost. This is a significant step in our efforts to continue to lead the portable MP3 player market, and with the unit's innovative features and easy-to-use software, we expect the product to be well received by retailers."
