Iomega Corporation Announces A New Internal Drive Platform For Notebook Users

Iomega Provides Built-In Zip(R) 250MB Drives Offering High-Capacity Portable Storage For Mobile Users


NEW YORK, June 27, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- (PC Expo Booth No. 3672) -- Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data management solutions, today announced availability of its new internal Zip(R) 250MB drive for leading notebook computers from IBM and Dell Computer Corporation. The new drive, in the "bay tray" configuration, offers high-capacity portable storage in a convenient, easy-to-use platform without compromising mobility.

The new internal Zip(R) 250MB drive is now an option for the new line of ThinkPad(R) by IBM, and Dell's Latitude(TM) and Inspirion(TM) notebooks, offering IBM and Dell users the convenience and ease-of-use of Zip drives. In addition VST, a market leader in design, engineering and marketing of high performance personal storage systems for the Internet and computer industries, has included Iomega's new Zip 250MB drive in the latest Macintosh(R) PowerBook products.
