On Command Corporation Enters Exclusive Master Services Contract with Adam's Mark Hotels and Resorts

Agreement Covers 23 Properties and 13,000 Guestrooms


SAN JOSE, Calif., August 3, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- On Command Corporation (Nasdaq:ONCO) announced today that the Company has entered into a new exclusive master services contract with Adam's Mark Hotels and Resorts. As part of the agreement, On Command will install and upgrade all properties of Adam's Mark Hotels and Resorts - 23 hotel properties and 13,000 guestrooms - with its advanced, interactive OCX(r) platform, providing the latest feature films-on-demand, interactive entertainment, and Internet services. On Command will also serve as the sole preferred provider of in-room services for all additional properties acquired by the Adam's Mark Hotel and Resorts over the term of the agreement.

Through On Command, all of the Adam's Mark Hotels and Resorts will have access to the customized Internet portal, combining the convenience of television with the power of the Internet. This proprietary application, expected to be deployed in 2001, will provide guests with access to virtual tours of local restaurants and happenings, business communication services, streaming video and audio, specific hotel services and online shopping.
