financeware.com Names Keith E. Gregg Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer


RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 18, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- financeware.com, a leading provider of online probability analysis tools for financial advisors and investors, announces the appointment of Keith E. Gregg as the company's Executive Vice President & Chief Market Officer.

Gregg will lead the firm's sales, marketing, communications, and branding initiatives. He will also be instrumental in helping financeware.com develop strategic alliances with key organizations in the financial services industry.

Gregg brings over fifteen years of senior executive sales and marketing experience in the financial services industry to financeware.com. Most recently he was head of sales and marketing for GE Financial Assurance's Registered Advisors distribution channel. Prior to joining GE, Gregg was Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of First Montauk Securities.

Gregg, a known commodity in the financial services community, has been recognized as a successful and talented sales & marketing executive; still many people associate Gregg's name with philanthropy. In 1997, Gregg wrote "Do Well by Doing Good -- The Complete Guide to Charitable Remainder Trusts," a book that became instantly popular in the financial advisor community because it gave advisors a blueprint for successfully marketing these planned giving instruments to their clients. While promoting the book, Gregg made appearances on CNN, CNNfn, and CNBC to educate charitable donors and advisors on how to maximize the benefits of charitable giving.

Gregg attended the University of Maryland and Harvard/MIT's Executive program. During the Reagan administration Gregg served in the United States Marine Corps aboard Marine One, for which he received the Distinguished Presidential Service Award.
