Manhattan Associates and Intentia International Enter Into Worldwide Strategic Alliance

STOCKHOLM, Sweden/LAS VEGAS, March 21, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Leading e-collaboration and supply chain management vendor Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE:INT B) and Manhat-tan Associates (Nasdaq:MANH), a global leader in providing warehouse management system and collaborative commerce solutions, announced at IBM's third annual Supply Chain Management Conference the signing of a worldwide strategic alliance agreement, which formalized the relationship between the two companies.

As strategic alliance partners, Manhattan Associates and Intentia will provide customers with one fully integrated suite of ERP, supply chain planning and supply chain execution solutions for customers with large warehouses and distribution centers. The two companies shared domain expertise in such key industries as consumer goods, apparel, and food & beverage manufacturing and distribution, ensuring customers are implementing systems that meet the business challenges of their respective industries. Customers will also benefit from the two companies' shared platforms and complementary underlying technologies.

The strategic alliance also allows the two companies to continue to make the necessary investments to the certified interface developed between PkMS(r), Manhattan Associates' leading warehouse management system, and Intentia's leading supply chain planning and execution solution. The two companies have invested in the joint development of this interface to support both existing and prospective customers.

In addition to the strategic alliance agreement, the two companies are signing a global re-seller agreement, which calls for Intentia to resell Manhattan Associates' leading warehouse management system PkMS(r). The two companies are utilizing the existing infrastructure -- training, help desk, implementation and research and development -- to support a reseller agreement that is global in nature.

"We are extremely pleased to formalize our relationship with Intentia," said Richard Haddrill, Manhattan Associates' President and CEO. "Their industry-leading solutions, coupled with their worldwide presence, enables us to jointly provide a solution set that meets the needs of our global customers in such key industries as apparel and consumer goods manufacturing and distribution. The opportunities are exciting."

Bjorn Algkvist, Intentia's President and CEO, commented, "The synergy between these two companies is unparalleled in this space. We see this relationship as an extension to the partnership that these two companies have enjoyed for several years. For joint customers, the end result will be even closer integration of the solutions, closer research and development efforts and a closer partnership. This is in line with Intentia increasing focus at selling to larger customers."
