Bit Learning Exec Joins Association Board of Directors

International Internet Learning Association Elects Northern Virginia Resident

SEATTLE, March 28, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- The International Internet Learning Association (IILA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of broadband Internet access for global education and training, has named Cheryl Walker Waldrup of Waterford, Va., to their Board of Directors.

The election took place at an IILA organizational meeting on March 16 at Lansdowne Conference Center in Northern Virginia. Waldrup is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Bit Learning, Inc. (www.bitlearning.com), a global provider of e-learning services.

Bit Learning, Inc. (tm) has developed a unique Instructional Systems Design (ISD) concept and accompanying software that frees learners to chart their own courses and advance at their own pace. This Bit Learning(tm) approach, coupled with Micro-Searching(tm) and Micro-Billing(tm) delivers to users the training they need in the time they have. Micro-Searching(tm) allows the user to query by word, program or even just a concept. The company's proprietary search engine then finds what is needed and weeds out the rest. Micro-Billing(tm) means that users are billed by the module, not by the course. Users pay only for what they need and want.

Waldrup's 20 years of experience in the marketing, advertising, and multimedia industry, as well as five years specifically in the business education market, has been important to the success of the Bit Learning organization. She is an active member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). Waldrup has extensive experience in the development of Internet training and virtual universities.

Prior to joining Bit Learning, Inc., Waldrup spent more than five years with one of the world's largest technical training companies, where she managed a global staff of 15 researchers, writers, graphic and web designers, media buyers and other advertising and marketing professionals.

A prolific writer on education and training, Waldrup has been published in Software Strategies magazine, ASTD's Performance in Review and Plant Site Locations. She was featured in the 1999 International edition of Who's Who of Professional Management and has published more than 100 articles in regional and national publications.
