STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 6, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- At Skandia's Capital Markets Day in New York, sales for the U.S. operation for the period January-May 2001 were released.
Sales of variable annuities totaled $1.8 billion (4.4), and sales of mutual fund savings products were $1.2 billion (2.3).
Total sales in May were on a par with a month earlier. Sales of variable annuities increased by 7 percent.
As announced earlier, sales figures for the total Group will be published on June 13, 2001.
