Dot Hill to Feature High Reliability SANnet Storage Solutions at NEBS Conference in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 30, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dot Hill Systems Corp., (NYSE:HIL) a leading provider of carrier-class information storage and storage area network (SAN) solutions, will demonstrate its SANnet(r) family of high-reliability storage solutions at the seventh annual Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Conference, Network Challenges for the 21st Century, sponsored by Verizon Communications and Telcordia Technologies, October 31-November 2, 2001 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.

The annual NEBS Conference is an opportunity for suppliers and end users of central office telecommunications and IT equipment to learn about the latest NEBS requirements and what's influencing NEBS compliance standards. NEBS certification was developed by Bellcore (now Telcordia) to ensure telecommunications equipment continues to operate under extreme conditions, providing nonstop dial tone. Leading Internet service providers and businesses with mission-critical data insist on NEBS compliance to compete and succeed in today's data-driven economy. Dot Hill's SANnet systems are NEBS Level 3 certified, the most stringent standard, providing "carrier-class reliability." SANnet has been independently tested to withstand an earthquake of 8.3 on the Richter scale, an electrical discharge of 15,000 volts, and operational temperature ranges from -5 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius.

Dot Hill's exhibit will showcase the company's SANnet 7128 switchless SAN and Ultra160-enhanced SANnet 3320 storage system - both featuring DC power supplies and NEBS Level 3 certification - and the 1U (1.75 inches high) rackmountable SANnet RAID Blade(tm).

The SANnet 7128 direct connect SAN combines high data throughput with a redundant high-availability architecture to meet the most critical telecom and enterprise storage demands, and it is the only -48V DC-powered NEBS certified SAN on the market today. With advanced Ultra160 SCSI RAID protection, Dot Hill's SANnet 3320 is designed with the performance, flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of data-intensive applications. Providing more than a quarter terabyte of storage in a rackmountable 1U form factor, the SANnet RAID Blade is an ideal solution for customers who have limited space and need to add incremental high-performance storage for applications such as web hosting, e-mail, co-location services, and small to medium databases.

Dot Hill is a leading independent provider of carrier-class data storage solutions and services. With SANnet solutions that include storage area networks, NEBS Level 3 certified systems for Telco and Internet operations, and world-class service capabilities, Dot Hill is uniquely positioned to address the storage requirements of mission-critical continuous computing environments.
