Dobson Communications President/COO Resigns to Join TSI Telecommunications Services as CEO


OKLAHOMA CITY, Dec. 10, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dobson Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DCEL) today announced that Ed Evans has resigned as president and chief operating officer to accept the position of chief executive officer for TSI Telecommunications Services, Inc., a leading provider of transaction-based call processing and other network services. Mr. Evans will remain with Dobson until he assumes his new responsibilities in January 2002.

Doug Stephens will serve as interim chief operating officer for Dobson Communications, Mr. Dobson said. Mr. Stephens is regional vice president and general manager of Dobson's Central Region, which includes Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri. He has served in various management positions in the wireless communication industry for 15 years, most recently at Cellular Communications Inc. and United States Cellular prior to joining Dobson Communications in March 1997. He earned a BS in Business Management from the University of Nebraska.
